Below are steps for installing COMBIgor without using the provided installer experiment.

This should be done only if the installer experiment did not work and all refrences to COMBIgor have been removed from the Igor Por User Files

0. If you are upgrading, delete all previous COMBIgor folders and aliases/shortcuts in the Igor Pro User Files and enclosed subfolders before continuing.

  1. Make sure you have the latest copy of COMBIgor downloaded on your computer. It can be found here.

a. If using Github, unzip the folder into the Github repository you wish to work from. Then make an Alias/Shortcut to the COMBIgor package folder and place it into the User Procedures folder of the Igor Por User Files. To find this folder, navigate to Help > Show Igor Pro User Files in Igor Pro.

b. If you are not planning on using Github, unzip the folder into the User Procedures folder of the Igor Por User Files. To find this folder, navigate to Help > Show Igor Pro User Files in Igor Pro.

2. Make a Alias/Shortcut to the package element COMBIgor.ipf located in the COMBIgor package folder and place it in the Igor Procedures folder of the Igor Por User Files.

3. Install the HDF5 browser extension. To find instructions on how this is done, navigate to Data > Load Waves > Packages > Install HDF5 browser from the Igor Pro menu, select OK, and follow the instuctions.

4. To use COMBIgor, initialize from any new or existing experiment by navigating to Data > Packages > COMBIgor on the Igor Pro menu.
